The Ram and The Peacock by Barry Smith

Irregardless of the great art, this Conan print makes you ponder...has an evil wizard been slain, or has a murderous barbarian won out?   hhhmmmmmmmm....

  1. Yo Cap'n! Talking about Conan (which you are) and Steranko (which you're not :-) - you have that wonderful Conan pic by Steranko that you posted ages ago and there you said you'd like to see it in colour. My colourist pal Sarge (Randy Sargent) did an exquisite colour take on it years ago. What's the best way to get that to you? He said he's tried to send it but no luck. His address, if that's the best way, is papaw54@windstream.net (BTW - I'm Shane, not Helen)

  2. Thanks, Shane! Speaking of Steranko (which you are), Tony over at Drawings of Steranko has occasionally hooked me up with links attached to his comments....would that work? I am a computer moron with this one social thingy (da blog) that my kids set up for me years ago

  3. Yo again Cap'n. My mate Sarge has sent to Tony (at his Steranko site) his coloured version of the Staranko Conan pic. I LOVE it - I reckon there's a great chance you will too. Tony hasn't responded yet - but he should have it.

  4. I have an original print that I bought at Comicon in 1974 (Actually they were still calling it the Comic Art Concention then). I framed it behind glass over 30 years ago. It's signed by Barry Smith and numbered No. 87 of 500.
    Absolutely beautiful.
