Thundarr At Ebbets Field by Jack Kirby


Sure, Ebbets Field has seen some great baseball, but I could see how someday it'd be like the Coliseum, and Thundarr would be the champion gladiator.  Only from the mind of Kirby

  1. Hate to nitpick, but Ebbets Field was torn down in 1960, two years after the Dodgers abandoned Brooklyn.
    Thought Kirby was a Lower East Side kid...so he'd have rooted for the NY Giants...who played at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan until joining the Dodgers in California!
    But the Polo Grounds were razed when Shea Stadium was built and the Mets (who had played at the Polo Grounds for their first few seasons) moved there...
